Avatar - James Cameron sci-fi movie in 2009

Under the direction of James Cameron, Avatar is an upcoming sci-fi movie expected to be released in May 2009.

Here the plot according to a recent press release:

"Avatar is also an emotional journey of redemption and revolution. It is the story of a wounded ex-marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival" and "We're creating an entire world, a complete ecosystem of phantasmagorical plants and creatures, and a native people with a rich culture and language." In the cast:

Samuel Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver starring in Avatar by James Cameron.
- Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, the wounded ex-marine who undergoes an experiment to exist as an avatar;

- Zoe Saldana as Jake's alien love;

- Sigourney Weaver as a botanist who mentors Jake Sully.

State-of-the-art technologies are going to be used to make Avatar a great entertaining experience. Motion capture and computerized animation are Cameron's silver bullets to render the gorgeous world he's been dreaming of since more than two decades.

A video-game based on the movie has also been planned for May 2009 and should be developed by Ubi Soft.

Hmmm...

Dances With Aliens...? Bad ole (white) humans running over the hapless [insert Hollywood's victim of choice) peace loving aliens.

Hope this looks and plays better on the big screen than it does here. Glorified cartoon is how it comes across in the trailer.

I'll wait for the torrent...

actually it was written in the 80's and has nothing to do with the tv show on teletoon that is a seperate movie comming out. it's called the last airbender. so, get your facts straight before you write crap ok.
